History of Lathrup Village

Frank M. Brock, Jr. has been Mayor of Lathrup Village since 1995 and served on Lathrup Village City Council since 1989. He has been an active member of the Michigan Association of Mayor, Southfield Downtown Development Authority, Southfield Chamber of Commerce, Southfield Lathrup Optimist Club, and Michigan Municipal League’s Workman Compensation Fund. Brock has a 38 year career at Providence Hospital holding many executive positions.
Frank and his wife Virginia raised 90 foster children and adopted 8 children, many of whom have special needs.
The City of Lathrup Village, the City of Southfield, and the State of Michigan have been truly blessed by Frank’s long serving presence and his dedicated leadership. Frank has a genuine compassion he shows for all and he truly leads by example.

SMC member, Al Eicher, has had a long career in the movie/video industry.
In recent years, Al has spent a lot of time documenting various aspects of Michigan History about which he gives presentation all over the state.
