The Senior Men's Club continues its tradition of concluding the calendar year with recognition of the hostesses who do a great job of serving us at our Friday meetings.  It also includs a Holiday Celebration by the Seaholm High School Pop Ensemble.  

 

The program features a performance by 12 singers.  They represent some of the hardest working and talented students in Seaholm High School's Choir.  The Seaholm High School Pop Ensemble has performed pop arrangements, a cappella music, and musical theater.  They have performed at Birmingham’s Winter Market, many Choir Concerts, and at various sites beyond Birmingham.  Many of the singers been leads in musicals and will continue musical careers after high school.  The group ends the year with a cabaret performance that is casted, rehearsed, and performed by the students.

 

Seaholm High School's Choir is directed by Mr. John Hummel who is enjoying his first year as a vocal music teacher at Derby Middle School and Seaholm High School.  While relatively young, he has taught music at all levels from the elementary grades through the university level. He a proud graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Voice Performance and Music Education and a Master’s Degree in Voice Performance.
