Lynn Henning has been a Detroit News sportswriter and columnist since 1979, except for a brief interlude in the 1990s as a national golf magazine editor.

 

He has written about all sports, with particular emphasis on the Tigers, Michigan and Michigan State. Lynn has written three books, including the Spartan Seasons series on Michigan State's sports history, as well as co-authoring Kirk Gibson's autobiography: Bottom of the Ninth.

 

He is a Michigan native and MSU graduate who now lives in Troy.
