Chocolate - The Queen's Dessert Fit for a King

Chocolate may have gotten a bad rap in the past because of all the additives, preservatives, and sugars used in chocolate production.  Many of these early chocolate products were not very good for you.

Learn about chocolate’s history and the changes that have been in chocolate production to make it a more delicious treat and healthy food.

Alicia Roberts is a graduate of Michigan State University (1983) with a degree in Marketing. She teaches hospitality marketing at Oakland Community College.

With over ten years of experience in the chocolate industry, she has keen insights and knowledge of the history, trends and health benefits of chocolate.

Currently she is the Director of Marketing and Sales for Birmingham Chocolate. Alicia is married to Ed Roberts (32 years) and has two daughters, Melany 28 and Kendall 23. They are both graduates of Seaholm High school and have college degrees.
