Are you curious about technology, and occasionally baffled by your own smartphone? You're in good company. Come along for a relaxed monthly get-together where we explore the world of modern tech — no jargon, no experts, no pressure. Just good conversation.

 

The scope of the discussion we be from smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc. to the fuller exploration of technology; apps, software, cybersecurity, quantum computing to modern chemistry, physics, or medical technology as we set the topics and the agenda for the future meetings and the interests of the participants.

Sample topics we may consider:

 

  • Getting more from your smartphone

  • Staying safe online & avoiding

  • scams

  • Streaming TV & finding things to watch

  • Video calls with family & friends

  • AI assistants — what can they do for you?

  • Health tech & online appointments

  • Online shopping & banking safety— organising, backing up, and sharing

  • Smart home gadgets — worth it?

  • WhatsApp, email & keeping in touch

  • Buying & selling second-hand

Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month, 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM at the Baldwin Public Library.
