The Investment Group has been part of the Club since the 1980s and continues to offer members a place to learn, share ideas, and stay informed about the financial topics that matter most.

Meeting Schedule

We meet on the second Thursday of each month (except June and July).

  • 2:45 PM - 4:00 PM

  • Sign up is not required

  • No admission fee

Ways to participate:

  • In person at the Baldwin Library, Birmingham

  • Online via Zoom — the same link used for all general club meetings

Annual Stock Game

 

A member favorite. Build a fictitious $100,000 portfolio using up to five stocks and compete from mid‑October through May.

 

Highlights:

  • Cash prizes for the top three finishers meeting eligibility requirements 

  • Bragging rights included

Finance doesn’t have to be intimidating. We make it practical, enjoyable, and social.
Spouses and significant others are always welcome and often attend.

Ground Rules

Come to each session with an open mind to obtain financial strategies from a Seniors perspective on the markets, taxes, estate planning, mutual funds, exchange traded funds and more.  Goal is to provide informative and timely as possible financial information to provide clarity amongst the noise provided by the TV.  A Stock Game is available for those that would like to participate.
