Changing Scale of Conservation: Shifts in Land Protection Strategies

Helen Taylor discusses the changing scale of conservation as organizations, communities and leaders are faced with increasingly complex problems and solutions in the use and protection of natural resources.
She has spent more than 27 years working on Great Lakes protection, policy, and conservation. She joined the Conservancy in 1996 to lead its Great Lakes Program, and since 1999 has served as state director of its Michigan Chapter.
Helen was appointed by Governor Rick Snyder to serve as a Commissioner and his representative on the Great Lakes Commission.

Wayne State Successes with TIP

Jeremy Mitchell is the Recruitment Coordinator for the Transition to Independence Program (TIP) at Wayne State University.
This program works to increase college access and improve graduation rates of foster care youth in Southeast Michigan.
Jeremy and a student from the program will meet with the Senior Men's Club of Birmingham to discuss TIP Wayne State successes and projects.
