Program - Detroit Chief of Police James E. Craig

Chief of Police James E. Craig has a significant and distinguished career in law enforcement. He was appointed Chief of Police in Detroit on July 1, 2013.


Chief Craig began his career in Detroit and has served with distinction in Los Angeles, Portland, Maine and Cincinnati, Ohio prior to coming back to Detroit. 


Chief Craig will speak about safety and the initiatives he has undertaken to reduce crime in the City of Detroit. He will also speak on his efforts to build stronger relationships with the community while focusing on Neighborhood Police Officers and their role on providing safer neighborhoods. 


In addition, Chief Craig will share current crime statistics.

                             The Natural Wonders of Australia and New Zealand

Carl and Charlotte Fischer will show you the beauty of the North and South islands of New Zealand and Australia. The magnificent Auckland harbor, a volcanic island off the coast of the North Island. 


Christchurch on the South Island, a nature reserve and sheep station in the mountains at Arthur's Pass, and a walk on Fox Glacier near Mt. Cook. 


In Australia you will see Sydney, the Whitsunday Islands and Great Barrier Reef, Cairs, a rain forest, Ayres Rock, Kakadu National Park, The Great Ocean Road, and the island of Tasmania. They will talk 

about the plants, animals, scenery, the people, and the history and share their experiences from their seven-week adventure earlier this year.
